Cancer season is here and I bet you can feel it.
Cancer energy is the protective mother - strong, loving and fearsome. It’s cardinal water that lulls your senses with its flow or sweeps you under without warning. It’s the wave of feelings you can only fully process once passed. It’s emotion, spirit, intuition. All that is felt - the good, bad, confused or intentional. The tide is pulling you in.
In the tarot, The Chariot card represents Cancer energy.
The Chariot card depicts someone bold, driven, guided by their intuition and resolution. The chariot drives forward as if there are no obstacles in its path. Any bumps in the road are no match for its momentum.
Ask yourself: Does it feel like certain obstacles have suddenly fallen away, after previously trying to pry, cry or strategize them out of the picture? Why all of a sudden now? Well, now you’re being given the opportunity and responsibility to be true to yourself and your path.
What direction has your intuition been driving you in these past several months? Maybe the past year? Now isn’t the time to second guess - it’s the time to drive forward. The obstacles were there to reinforce that you still wanted this no matter what.

Three of Cups: A great way to find your path, or stay in alignment with it, is the Three of Cups energy of camaraderie, celebration and community. The Hanged Man: This card represents Pisces energy. The Hanged Man is about finding clarity, even experiencing a revelation, in that space where you can neither go backwards or move forward. I read this combination (The Hanged Man + The Chariot) as an “aha moment”- deep, reflective understanding just before you’re whisked away into forward movement. It’s gaining clarity on the best routes before the road trip begins. Focus on grounding practices that help awaken your intuition.
Air Signs [Gemini + Libra + Aquarius]
The Star: For me, The Star card often points to two beautiful experiences – deep healing and wish fulfillment. And sometimes we need healing before we can step fully into our desires. Are there any self-care practices you’ve been wanting to do that would bring healing to your physical body or emotional state? Dive into those and put yourself in a prime state to enjoy the dreams you’ve been trying to manifest. It will arrive, and you want to be ready when it does.
Earth Signs [Taurus + Virgo + Capricorn]
Justice: My fellow earth darlings: The Justice card is a strong sign that karma hasn’t forgotten you. The seeds you’ve planted will flourish and your hard work will yield results when you’re on the right path. In fact, 2024 is an 8 year in numerology (2+0+2+4=8), which represents karma, inner confidence and abundance. Here’s your mid-year reminder that all you’ve poured out will be poured back into you, plus more. In the meantime, show gratitude for all the ways you’ve already experienced this reciprocity. At what point in your life did you feel the most driven? Rather than focusing on the outcome that was driving you, what was the feeling you were after? In other words, don’t think of what you wanted but why you wanted it.

Things are speeding up. The small hiccups or distractions that might slow you down before, can’t stop this chariot. Don’t forget to feel your way through things too. Your intuition knows the way, where your head may falter.
SELF-CARE TIP: Find the water (whether a bath, pool, ocean, lake or river). Get in - or at least be near the flow. Cancer is a water sign, and the water helps to clear our energy. Seeing things flow reminds us that our intuition is always working. It could be a soft, subtle knowing that washes over us or a sweeping wave that alters everything, but it’s flowing nonetheless.
