CAPRICORN SEASON (DEC 21, 2025 - JAN 19, 2026)

Sade Adu - Jan 16 Capricorn

If there’s one thing we should bankrupt in 2026, it’s the business of settling.

Capricorn energy in the tarot is about getting out of your own way. Free yourself and win where it counts.

Do you know your own power? Are you aware of your worth? Life opens up for us when know who we are and trust that we are capable.

I often see posts online that Capricorns care about more than just their work, their money, their goals. And I get it - that’s true. We’ve many layers (late December Cap here, confirming our complexities and playful side). But we’re also The Boss, and we know it ;-)

What does this season mean for all signs? Play big. Plan even bigger.

Why put off today what you know you want for your future?

The version of you that is her or him really isn’t in the business of settling. So look alive! We’re officially in winter planning mode. That’s part of the magic of this season: we rest when needed, we embrace the longest night, but we script our season of growth.

Don’t just show up. Shut it down.

Mars in Capricorn (Dec 15, 2025 - Jan 23, 2026)

Your passion, plus some strategic action, can help you obtain what’s in your long-term sights. Expect to be supercharged with the spirit of getting things done — not simply to tick things off your to-do list, but to build for your future.

In Capricorn season these themes feel especially familiar to us. Things that were once a figment of our imagination are now live and in color. We crave action that creates something tangible, yet stable. What we build with this energy can prop us up for years to come.

THE CAPRICORN CARD IN THE TAROT

PERSONAL POWER | MANIFESTATION

THE DEVIL + YOUR CLARIFYING CARD [Check Your Sun Sign]

Earth Signs [Capricorn + Taurus + Virgo]

Ten of Wands: What burdens can you release that would help you accomplish what you’ve been working towards? Either you’re right at the finish line regarding certain responsibilities, or there’s something you know you’ve carried for a little longer than necessary. Look forward to relinquishing what has grown heavy. Take extra care of yourself this season and find ways to relax.

Air Signs [Aquarius + Gemini + Libra]

Six of Swords: Your new chapter has already begun, but maybe your heart and mind need to catch up with that fact. Focus on the things that shift your mood and energy, and make sure they are a daily part of your routine. The waters grew choppy for awhile, but things are much smoother now. Focus on the future, not what you’ve left behind. It’s not just about what you’ll build this season, but how you’ll enjoy it.

Water Signs [Pisces + Cancer + Scorpio]

The Empress: Drop any vices or attachments that feel toxic. If they are lowering your energy, or don’t reflect who you are at this stage of life, break free and align with what feels more abundant and nurturing to your soul. One quick way to check in on this? What feels forced, labored or restrictive? What makes you feel at ease, yet magnetic? You attract what’s aligned to your inner state. Focus on giving that the glow up it deserves.

Fire Signs [Aries + Leo + Sagittarius]

Six of Pentacles: There’s a difference between those who feed off your generosity or light, and those who are inspired by it. The 6 of Pentacles is about reciprocity, and in combination with the Capricorn card, you may need to establish (or enforce) healthier boundaries with your friends, family members or partners. If you’ve given too much, rein it in. Empower yourself and encourage others to do the same. Seek a healthy balance.

YOUR SELF-CARE GUIDE

This section feels like a great place for a reminder: These seasonal guides aren’t meant to limit what you should or could do with your month. They’re here to help you slow down and think about what the season you’re in means to you.

The symbolism and archetypes of the tarot show up all around us. Even in talking about the energy of Capricorn season, you aren’t limited to this month. The sign of Capricorn is somewhere in your birth chart, even if if’s not your sun sign. See what it’s presence in your chart reveals. Lean into it when you need it.

Own when it’s time to say, “no,” and rest — or focus on your individual needs, rather than the demands of the collective. Plan out what you want for your year and the type of self-care rituals that will support that. Add something to your calendar to look forward to each week. What will give you the stamina and stability to flourish in the long-term?

WHERE TO WANDER

This is Frankenstein’s winter. Watch this film while cocooning in your blankets and let me know what you think. The director, Guillermo del Toro, perfectly captured the wintry haunting beauty of things that are ending. In fact, some of the cinematography I loved most were the film’s winter scenes.

Frankenstein the film brought up many of the emotions I felt when reading Mary Shelley’s novel. Frankenstein is one of my favorite books, but del Toro’s film adaptation stands on its own. Definitely check this one out!
